Fee
NQ Games Fee $33 (incl GST) + Special Olympics Mackay Fire Multi-Sport fee
(3on3 fee $15, Bocce fee $15, Table Tennis fee $15 and Ten Pin fee $25)
Sports Notes
- This is a fun and friendly competition to promote awareness of Special Olympics and not a State Games Qualifying event.
- Competitors must have the physical capacity to participate.
- Competitors agree to their photograph being taken by Special Olympics Mackay or NQ Games.
- Competitors who do NOT agree to photography must seek a wristband to wear on the day to identify non-photography participant.
- Competitors wearing a non-photography wristband will not be included in any team shots.
- Activewear/gym wear is not suitable nor accepted clothing for any competitor in any sport.
- Competitors in 3on3 basketball in Assisted division must be able to mobilise independently and only require verbal guidance and support by on-court Special Olympics Mackay registered volunteers.
- Competitors in Bocce, Table Tennis and Ten Pin must be able to mobilise independently and only require verbal support if required.
- Competitors in Ten Pin who use a wheelchair to mobilise may only be assisted by a registered Special Olympics Mackay volunteer to position the Cairns GoBowling ramp. Individual ramps will not be permitted to be used during the tournament.
- Competitors in ten pin bowling must be TBA registered bowlers at time of competition.
- Special Olympics Mackay volunteers are all holders of current Queensland Working with Children Checks (Blue Card).
- All participants are expected to adhere to the Special Olympics Code of Conduct.
3on3 Basketball
- Individual Nomination
- Div A, B, C and Assisted – competitors will be assigned to teams on the day.
Participants will nominate with divisioning undertaken on the day and included in a team with medals allocated from the outcome of the competition. Participants in wheelchairs cannot register for this sport; participants who are not in a wheelchair can only play this 3on3 basketball.
Participant must wear suitable athletic clothing and athletic footwear including socks. Playing singlet will be provided on the day. Activewear / Gym wear is NOT permitted.
Tournament Marshall has ability to adjudicate and decision is final.
Bocce
- Team event
- Six Divisions – competitors will be assigned to teams on the day.
Entrants are welcome to nominate with divisioning undertaken on the day and the entrant will included in a team. Participants in wheelchairs may nominate in this sport that are adults with an intellectual disability, autism or learning delay.
Bocce will be conducted outside and be subject to weather conditions. Cancelled event will allow refund of sport fee paid.
Participant must wear a broad brimmed hat, collared polo shirt and suitable athletic shorts and athletic footwear including socks. Activewear /gym wear is NOT permitted. Games are 10 minutes.
Tournament Marshall has ability to adjudicate and decision is final.
Table Tennis
- Singles event
- Div 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10
All equipment provided. Participants may nominate in this sport that are adults with an intellectual disability, autism or learning delay. Access to venue is by stairs only with playing on first floor and toilets on ground floor.
Participant must wear a shirt or polo and suitable athletic shorts and athletic footwear including socks. Activewear /gym wear is NOT permitted.
Tournament Marshall has ability to adjudicate, and decision is final.
Ten Pin Bowling
- Singles event (TBA Registered bowlers only)
- Div 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10
All equipment provided; own ball and bowling shoes welcome. Limit of 2 balls per ten pin bowler. Participants in wheelchairs may nominate in this sport that are adults with an intellectual disability, autism or learning delay.
Participant must wear a collared shirt and suitable athletic shorts and athletic footwear including socks. Activewear /gym wear is NOT permitted. Registered Special Olympics athletes must wear long black trousers.
Bowling shoes must be worn on the lane with socks.
Tournament Marshall has ability to adjudicate and decision is final.
