Age Policy
Minimum age of a swimmer entering an event is 9 years.
Age shall be as of 4 May 2024.

$6 per event Swimming Sports Fee + the $33 NQ Games Fee (Inc GST)

Sports Notes
- The meet will be conducted under the rules of FINA and by-laws of Swimming Australia (SAL). Swimming Queensland (SQ), and Masters Swimming Australia (MSA)
- Swimming is open to all competitors, whether, or not, they are a registered member of an affiliated SAL club, or a member of MSA. Swimmers of affiliated SAL clubs will receive sanctioned times for events swum at the NQ Games
- Multi-class swimmers must present to the Chief Referee on the day
- Australian Masters competitors must provide Masters ID number and Club Code when completing this entry
- All non-Masters Swimming Australia members must provide a proof of age via a copy of driver’s licence or passport at the meet
- Current FINA swimsuit rules apply. For Masters see www.mastersswimming.org.au under ‘Rules’!
- Multi Class events will be conducted within the full program and medals awarded according to the age group and gender category in each classification
- All decisions taken will be at the discretion of the Chief Referee
- You must submit a time for each event entered. Please do not enter ‘no time’ or leave blank
- Please have your Games’ accreditation for entry to the pool
- Swimmers must register through the NQ Games website and manually input all relevant information, including Entry Times, (Swim Central will not be used to enter events, but results will be recorded there after the completion of the NQ Games)
- All swimmers can break NQ Games records
- Unlimited number of individual events per sport fee as per age group
- Heats in each event will be seeded from fastest times to slowest times
- Entries close Friday 19 April 2024 at 11:59pm – no late entries will be accepted
- In the event of a protest, a $100 fee is to be paid with a written protest no later than 30 minutes following the conclusion of the event
- Meet programs will be on the FNQ Swimming website and NQ Games website
- This is an FNQ Swimming run event and, accordingly, it is a condition of entering this meet that your club understands timekeeping is required by all clubs and is allocated based on the number of swimmers your club enters
- In nominating for this meet, swimmers agree that they may be photographed and images may be used in swim club publications and or on digital platforms
RELAYS
- Relays are a fun event and open to all swimmers of the NQ Games, coaches, team managers etc
- No medals will be awarded for the fun relay events but some small treats will be awarded as prizes
- Relay nominations to be taken on the day of the event. Relay swimmers must have entered at least one (1) individual event and shall not swim for more than one team in each relay event
- There is no charge for relay events (register on the day)
- The organisers may assist with the formation of relay teams

- Fun Relay Events:
- 9 years & over: 10 x 50m Mixed Freestyle Relay
- 9 years & over: 10 x 50m Mixed Medley Relay
AWARDS
- Individual events will be multi-aged for awards.
- Medals will be presented for first, second and third places in each event in each age group all and multi-class age groups
